I should have written to you sooner to say how much I appreciate your work in selling my property on Maricopa Drive, but you sold it so quickly that it has taken me a little while to get organized again. . . Looking over records a few nights ago, I realized that this was the seventh transaction I have done with you since you began working together. What a team! . . . regardless of whether I have been buyer or seller, you have always made sure that I was thoroughly informed down to the last detail, so that the inevitable surprises that always appear have been speed bumps rather than mountains. While we were preparing Maricopa for the market, I was talking to a friend on my cell when Dan showed up with the “colors book.” I told her that I had to hang up because my realtor had arrived ‘to talk about colors and to decide on some planting for the back yard.” Her response was, “I thought realtors just sold houses.” I laughed and said, “Not these guys.” Somehow you have always made putting a property on the market more fun than hard work. Whether it has been selecting colors, improving landscaping, changing hardware, or just rearranging furniture, you have always been right there to guide and suggest and, when necessary, insist. . . Once again, thank you for your most recent efforts. Even with the market in a different place than it has been over the last four years, your formula of making a property show in the best manner possible, aggressive but realistic pricing and fantastic marketing brought me more than I had hoped for in the sale which we completed. | RE: Sale of 4142 Camino Real
Dear Brian, We have owned our Camino Real house since 1985. The house was in my wife's, Laurie Weir's family since it was built in 1945. Laurie and her sister where born in there and her grandmother, who was a dress designer for Mae West lived there when we bought the property. The house served us very well. Our son Stefan was born there and we continued with the family tradition of ownership. In the mid nineties we decided to upgrade and remodel the house. That has proved to be a much greater endeavor than we originally planned, but we did and finally had the house that we always wanted. A few years later a work offer came along that we could not refuse, and we had to move out of Los Angeles and sell the house. You were the first person we thought of, after all you have helped us with the sale of our previous house on Mt. Washington and we couldn't think of anyone better qualified and more rooted in the community than you. We met and talked with you and discovered that we could list the house quickly and for a better price than we considered possible. In the listing and selling process, you were always in charge and ahead of the game; the painters, inspectors and handyman were all clean efficient and on time, you were always available, always returned the calls, and the house sold at a price above out expectations to some one that appreciates it's history.
